What is the Yoga4Health Programme

The Yoga4Health Programme is a social prescribing 10 week course of gentle chair and/or mat based yoga, breathing practices and relaxation.  For more information visit the Yoga in Healthcare Alliance. 

Who is it for?

 The Yoga4Health programme was commissioned by the NHS and designed by experts to help patients improve their health and wellbeing in a supportive environment. It is specifically for those who:

  • Suffer from stress or anxiety or mild depression
  • Need to lose weight
  • Need to improve your heart health
  • Need to lower your risk of Type 2 diabetes
  • Just need help to feel well, healthy and supported

Absolutely lovely ten week course, Vicky makes you feel comfortable whatever your ability or needs, thorough explanations of breathing and poses, it’s definitely helped my well being and (I've) made a couple of lovely friends, no judgement or feeling embarrassed  about your ability didn’t feel self conscious at all.
