Vicky, like so many new to yoga, was initially drawn to it for the physical benefits, with little knowledge of the deeper aspects of this ancient practice. She started yoga with her Mum to encourage her to go, to help with her high blood pressure. This was almost 20 years ago and now Vicky is a British Wheel of Yoga qualified yoga teacher, having received her 500hr teaching Diploma. She is also a certified Yoga in Healthcare Alliance Teacher and is currently teaching the Yoga4Health Programme.
Passionate about passing the knowledge she has gained onto others, Vicky's classes are not limited to the physical aspects of yoga and are inspired by yoga philosophy. Her classes are a mixture of Vinyasa flow (flowing from one pose to another in a sequence) and Hatha, which focuses more on the alignment in the individual poses. Vicky also teaches pranayama, breath work and meditation during her classes.
Teaching in a staged approach means that all her classes are suitable for everyone regardless of perceived physical ability.
'The beauty of Yoga is that it is for everybody and benefits people in lots of different ways.
There should be no ego in yoga and we should never compare ourselves to others - stay true to yourself.'

Vicky is also a certified Traditional Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner. She trained with The School of Thai Yoga Massage under the Master Trainer Kira Balaskas.
